![]() ![]() ![]() For me it’s definitely something I’m still processing after finishing. There are happy times but also a great deal of sadness throughout. The main and even some sub characters go through a lot. There’s definitely an emotional rollercoaster that happens throughout this book. They both have things happening in their lives they don’t understand. The book is divided into parts going back and forth between the lives of Ellis and Raven. She has lived a life of solitude but as she gets older she starts to wonder about the outside world. In another plot within the novel Raven is a child who grew up with her mother in the woods. She leaves her home, including her husband and their twin boys, who are four years old to wander on her own. Ellis is devastated at the loss of her daughter Viola. ![]() But in that time the baby is not there when she returns. One day she leaves her baby in a carrier near some woods for just a few minutes. Yet you’re still eager to read to see what happens.Įllis is a mother of three. If anything, it’s something you want to read in chunks so you can take in and absorb the plot and characters. This isn’t necessarily a fast paced book you want to fly through. And I hope this author continues writing. I was eagerly awaiting this book after really liking the author’s first book, Where the Forest Meets the Stars. ![]()
